How to split a PDF and extract pages
Splitting a PDF is handy when you need one chapter of an e-book, a single financial report or a few invoices out of a large file.
1. Keep documents private
Contracts and bank statements are sensitive. Tools that upload files to a server can expose them. This splitter works directly in your browser, so your data never leaves your device.
2. Page format
- Page range: enter the first and last page to extract a continuous block.
- Specific pages: separate pages with commas and use a hyphen for ranges.
1, 3, 5-8extracts page 1, page 3 and pages 5 to 8.
Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. The file is read and split entirely inside your browser using pdf-lib. Nothing is uploaded, so it is safe for bank statements, contracts and other private documents.
How do I extract non-consecutive pages?
Choose "Specific pages" and type the page numbers separated by commas. You can mix single pages and ranges, for example 1, 3, 5-8.
Will the quality of my PDF change?
No. Pages are copied as they are, so text, images and fonts keep their original quality.
