How to check power cuts in Vietnam

Vietnam Electricity (EVN) announces planned power outages a few days in advance for maintenance, upgrades and grid work. This page gathers those notices by province so residents, expats and businesses can plan ahead.

1. Where the data comes from

  • 25 provinces and cities served by EVNNPC and EVNSPC: schedules are collected automatically from cskh.npc.com.vn and cskh.evnspc.vn several times a day.
  • Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and 7 central provinces: the official portals require a login or a captcha, so we only explain how to check them.
  • Trolyso is an independent website and is not affiliated with EVN. When you need certainty, check the official portal or call the hotline.

2. EVN customer service hotlines (24/7)

3. What to do before a power cut

  • Unplug large appliances (fridge, air conditioner, TV, computer) to protect them from voltage surges when power returns.
  • Keep the fridge and freezer closed so they stay cold longer.
  • Charge power banks and prepare a flashlight and rechargeable fan; store water if your home uses an electric pump.
  • Save your work before the scheduled start time.

Frequently asked questions

Where does this power outage schedule come from?

For the 25 provinces and cities served by EVNNPC (north) and EVNSPC (south), Trolyso automatically collects planned outage notices from the public customer-service portals of these two corporations several times a day. Every schedule shows its source and the time of the last update.

Why are Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Central Vietnam not shown automatically?

The EVNHANOI and EVNHCMC portals require a customer login, and the EVNCPC portal requires a captcha. Trolyso does not bypass these protections, so for those areas we explain how to check the schedule on the official channels.

What are the EVN customer service hotlines?

EVNNPC (north): 1900 6769. EVNHANOI (Hanoi): 1900 1288. EVNCPC (central): 1900 1909. EVNSPC (south): 1900 1006 or 1900 9000. EVNHCMC (Ho Chi Minh City): 1900 545454. All lines run 24/7.

Can a planned power cut be changed or cancelled?

Yes. The power company can postpone, shorten or change a planned outage because of weather or operating needs. Unplanned outages caused by faults are never included in the planned schedule.

Why are area names in Vietnamese?

Areas (communes, wards, villages and streets) are shown exactly as EVN publishes them, so they match the names on local signs and your address. You can search without Vietnamese accents, e.g. "phuong 1" or "nguyen trai".
